THE STORY OF A BIRD BY THE MAN OF STEEL..

There was a man from my neighborhood who was always taking  good care of one pretty little bird. Everyday, he would bring out the bird for exposure to air and feeding as the bird would always be looking up to the sky. She would always pray to God wishing for the time when things would be different.  From afar, she would watch and wonder each day,  "when would such opportunity take place?" she would ask herself without any reply.

On that faithful day, it was such a serendipity for her to see her cage opened. So she delayed to come out thinking it was a set up. Only for her to  discover that there was no sign of her master. And so, sluggishly she came out to see if there was going to be any movement to restrain her but nothing happened. She happily flee to to the roof top of her master's neighbor and looked, still no one was around. She was very happy, whistling to the loudest of her voice, thanking God for making that fortunate. She flee through hoops and holes of trees, singing with happiness , feeling the rush of fresh breeze through her veins and feathers. And so, she looked at herself and say "thanks to God who has come to my rescue, look at me, just a minute ago, I was restrained in a cage. Feeling so terrible , always watching other bird fly up and down. Sometimes, some of them perform acrobatic styles on air, just to make me jealous and now look at me, I am the closest thing to the sky. ISN'T THAT WONDERFUL?".

Without finishing the words in her mouth, there came a flock of other young birds coming towards her direction. And with them, came a very large flying creature which was flying swiftly but quietly after them. As they approached closer lo and behold it was an Eagle. This large flying creature was devouring and almost swallowing some of them, as she was just there looking at them in awe. With the shock and fright in her eyes, she screamed "HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!! I thought that they were supposed to be free?. On hearing that, the eagle headed for her direction. And just like that, she was forced to fly to the fullest of her potential.

Let's just say that to cut the long story short, at the end of the day, she survived the marathon race. So, she asked herself  if that was what she was going to face daily out there. At the end of the day, she decided to return home, it was such a shock for her to notice that after all the dangers she had been through, her master was just returning from where he went to.And so, she gulped in her saliva and sighed in, exclaiming with satisfaction that there was no place like home.
